Before I introduce myself I would like to thank each and every one of you for taking time out of your day to visit my website!

My name is Kohl. I grew up in the PNW and more specifically in Oregon. Growing up, most of my time was consumed outside exploring with friends and playing sports. Being exposed to such a beautiful corner of the world at such a young age allowed me to really cherish the simple things in life. In my teenage years you could find me working on cars, anything that I could take apart and figure out how it worked I was hooked.

Before pursuing the idea of Cutler’s Cozy Couches, I worked at a restaurant on the banks of the Sandy River, Sugarpine Drive-In, please check them out as they have been one of the cornerstones in the journey to where I’m at today. Starting as a dishwasher and working my way up to a chef I learned the in’s and out’s of a successful business first hand. After a little over three years with them I was invited to work on and help develop a Hawaiian food truck with someone that I continue to look up to tremendously. Hours of bouncing ideas off each other undoubtedly fueled my entrepreneurial fire.

Between Sports, Cars, and Work I often found myself at local thrift and second hand stores searching for unique garments and bric-a-brac’s. While spending most of my time at the local thrift I quickly realized I loved the thrill of not only finding unique and expressive items but also taking something that has been discarded and giving it a second life. So much of that same feeling is felt with these couches.

The drive behind Cutler’s Cozy Couches is to reduce the number of items ending up in the landfill and to offer furniture to individuals and families at a fraction of retail. It’s a win win! I love and value the human connections behind every piece and the joy that it brings.
